A meeting of the leaders of the opposition alliance held in Baneshwor on Saturday concluded that the dissolution of the parliament was an attack on the constitution and democracy.

“This reactionary move has pushed the country towards new political polarization and complexity”, Opposition parties have stated they will not run in Mid-Term elections, but have called for the be leagued PM to resign. The opposition coalition has decided to strongly oppose the unconstitutional move politically and legally. Saying that they would go to the apex court with the signatures of 149 lawmakers who supported Deuba’s demand for the PM’s post, CPN-Maoist Central Committee Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda said, We believe that once the majority is signed by the parliamentarians, the court will finally rule in favour of democracy again.

‘ He said that the Prime Minister and the President had conspired to lead the country to disaster. He said, “It has not been announced for the election.” It’s unconstitutional, so it doesn’t make sense. ‘
