Burlakoti elected for Lions Clubs International Director

Kathmandu, June 6 –  Bal Krishna Burlakoti has been elected as the International Director of the Lions Club, an international organization working in the field of humanitarian service.

 He is also the former chairperson of Lions Club Multiple District 325 Nepal. He received 1644 votes in the online election. Out of a total of 2982 votes, Burlakoti got 1644 votes. Past Governor of Lions Clubs International District 325 B1 Nepal Burlakoti has won the post of International Director from the Multiple Convention held on June 4 and 5.

 Burlakoti set a world record by opening 100 clubs in a single term for the first time in the Lions’ 100-year history. He had increased the membership growth 2,863 and contributed 100 MJFs. . Burlakoti, who is active in more than 200 countries around the world at Lions International, had set many new records during his tenure as governor of Lions Clubs International District 325 B1 Nepal.  He also increased the  amount upto 13.15 million  in the Nepal Lions Foundation. He had made significant contributions to the social sectors through the Lions.
